Easy No Bake Maltesers Cake
July 20, 2017
Easy No Bake Maltesers Cake is delicious, easy, quick and fun to make.
Grab a cuppa or coffee... this is going to be a long post with lots of photos :D
My thanks to Delicake for giving me the opportunity to try out and review their unique and wonderful product.
I was contacted by Delicake, not too long ago, long story short, I did agree to the proposal.
The good news is ...
Thanks to Delicake, there is 1 Delicake ware, up for grab for my Australian readers. Check out below for details.
Delicake Australian made cake ware is a unique, Australian innovative design. It is a easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store and excellent to display your dessert for entertaining guests.
There are 3 sizes to chose from and I chose the Traditional Round Master.
I had 2 good months to try it out.
With 2 cheesecakes and 1 jelly, I finally settled with this Easy no bake Maltesers cake (adapted with changes from DailyDelicious).
The photos below, illustrate the steps from start to finish, making this no bake Maltesers Cake
Spray with oil
Melt chocolate, golden syrup and butter, then add grounded biscuits.
This traditional Round Master will be my favourite for all my non bake delicacies.
I can put aside all Springform cake tins, whenever I make my 'must have- must eat' Mango-misu every year.
No more mess, no more clumsiness of smearing, potential dropping my favourite mangomisu to the ground.
If you noticed.... I did mention "Jelly".
Yes, I was experimenting, despite what stated on the instruction paper.
I am happy to say that no leakage but I would not recommend this unless you have checked the unit prior (fill up with water and leave it overnight :)) and make sure you have a big plate underneath :D.
...and not forgetting...
Just a quick note on this No Bake Maltesers Cake :
a) If you are using the above butter and refrigerate the cake overnight, do take it out from the fridge, to let it come to room temperature. The butter I used (Western Star), will not be "soft" even though I leave it in my larder for a week!
b) Halved Maltesers for better aesthetic effect.
c) Freeze Maltesers to prevent it from 'sweating' (if you are living in tropical or hot country 😀 )
d) Omit golden syrup if the biscuits are already too sweet.
